The harmonic scalpel ulltrasonic shear is a surgical device used to simultaneously cut and coagulate tissue in bariatric surgery or endoscopic and Thoracic surgery. Unlike Electrosurgery, the harmonic surgical system uses ultrasonic vibrations instead of electric current to cut and coagulate tissue. It works with generator, transducer , and/or footswitch.
